Hi Andrew,

when simulating a circuit in cadence ic610 i get the below error -

Loading /home/daglitch/cadence/installs/MMSIM61/tools.lnx86/cmi/lib/4.0/libinfineon_sh.so ...

cpp: error: unrecognized option '-$

spectre completes with 1 error, 0 warnings, and 0 notices.
spectre terminated prematurely due to fatal error.

is this  error due to installation issues? i am not able to figure out. please help.

 thanks

    From the Forum Guidelines:

    • Limit a thread to a single subject, and preferably to a single question or small number of very closely related questions. Doing so makes the threads easier to follow.

You've now asked at least 7 unrelated questions in this thread. It makes it impossible to follow, so if you want to ask the question above, do so in a new thread.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Please also let me know from where to apply the new post. I was trying for last 2 days but am getting “PAGE NOT FOUND” server issue.

I am not able to create a new post because of some website error as shown below. So request you to please reply in this post itself till i find way to create new post -

Thanks for the reply. I have a doubt regarding changing the grid spacing inthe schematic composer & the layout editor of virtuoso.

Is the grid spacing dependant on what technology file is attached to thelibrary at the time of creation of the library?

Is it advisable to change the grid spacing to adjust things while drawingthe layouts?

    regards

You post new topics by going to the Custom IC forum (link at the top of this page where it says community -> forums -> custom IC Design), and then the New Post button at the top. I just tried it and it works. Occasionally the forums break and require the software to be restarted, but in that case you wouldn't have been able to post to this thread either. You didn't give the error, maybe you browser cache needs clearing? Andrew

Thanks for the reply. I tried the way you have mentioned but i couldn't find NEW POST button. For replying to this old thread i use my email as every reply of yours comes to my inbox where i click the link to replyback.

I will try clearing the cache and post the new thread.

Picture showing the button attached. The button provides a link to this URL for adding a new post.

Presumably you managed to add this post in the first place...
