The function is one provided by Cadence, along with variants ansCdlCompParamPrim and ansCdlSpecParamPrim. We don't reveal the code that makes these up (in the same way that we don't reveal the definition of the many SKILL functions that are used in Virtuoso), but we do document their behaviour. Search in cdnshelp for the function name and you'll see the definition of how it behaves.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
