Nestlisting failed with ADE XL

Hi,

I have a stdcell library from a foundry sponserd company. In this library, there are 2 sub libraries: lib and stdclib. In lib, there are some cells used in stdclib, like pwr, gnd, nm, pm, et al, and each cell has 2 cell view : symbol and cdsSpice.

When I build a circuit with the std cells and simulate it in ADE, I got errors like:

Netlist Error: Cannot find any info on instance "VSS!1" in cell-view "sl13ugfsdsc" "SDN_FDPRB_1" "schematic"
\o Netlist Error: Some cell-views used inside this block could not be netlisted in analog context
\o Netlist Error: Cannot find any info on instance "VSS!2" in cell-view "sl13ugfsdsc" "SDN_FDPRB_1" "schematic"
\o Netlist Error: Some cell-views used inside this block could not be netlisted in analog context
\o Netlist Error: Cannot find any info on instance "VSS!3" in cell-view "sl13ugfsdsc" "SDN_FDPRB_1" "schematic"
\o Netlist Error: Some cell-views used inside this block could not be netlisted in analog context

I added "cdsSpice" in both "switch view list" and "stop view list". But I don't know whether cdsSpice is a proper view for simulation.  Here is a figure of cdsSpice view of "gnd" cell.

Any one can help me to solve this problem??

Thanks in advance!

It sounds as if there is no CDF to tell it how to netlist these standard cells. If there are no schematics, then at least what you want is:

    1. A stopping view (cdsSpice could suffice, but maybe that indicates that the supplier has not set this up for other current simulators such as spectre).
    2. Information in the CDF (in the spectre simulation info for example) to tell it how to netlist  an instance
    3. A SPICE syntax file that contains the subckt definitions of the standard cells that you can reference via Setup->Model Libraries in ADE.

Maybe you should check with the supplier?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
