ADE: How to change default annotation setup?

Hi all! I am wondering, where I can define the DEFAULT annotation setup for components in my schematics (in IC616)?

For instance, for displaying the operating point parameters after a DC analysis I always have to change the annotation settings for my active devices through the View->Annotations-Setup options. It is time consuming having to do the same for each new schematic, so I would like to change the default annotation options for these devices so that they remain like these:

Parameter:cdsParam(1): DC Operating Point - id

Parameter:cdsParam(2): DC Operating Point - gm

Parameter:cdsParam(3): DC Operating Point - vds

Parameter:cdsParam(4): DC Operating Point - vdsat

Parameter:cdsParam(5): DC Operating Point - region

Thanks in advance for any help on how to achieve this.

Cheers,

Jorge

OK, problem solved! It was just a matter of editing these fields in the component's CDF settings. Thanks for the support!

    Cheers,

    Jorge.

Hi Chris! Indeed, you need to edit the transistor's CDF. The procedure is more or less as follows:

Go to CIW->Tools->CDF-Edit, then choose correct the library and cell for your device, and "Base" in "CDF Layer". Then go to the tab "Interpreted layers, subtab "Parameters(cdsParam)" and select "Use cdsParam to display: Operating Point Results" and in the right list you can then choose the parameters you with to be display. After playing a while you should be able to make it work.

Note however that in practice these are read-only cells (from the design kit!), so you might need to make a copy in order to make this work. And there are potential problems that might arise from the fact of working not with the original design kit cells but with local copies!.

    Cheers,

    Jorge.

Thanks for this quick answer. Currently, I did all that you explained but in "user", not in "Base", but no modifications for the display. May be a load had to be done. but I don't know. I've not the rigth to use the "base" option, and working in team, doing that could a source of issue.
