Start ADE-XL simulations after certain defined time?

I wonder if it is possible to tell ADE-XL to start simulations after a given time.
In some interesting cases it is needed to start ADE-XL simulations after certain time when we  expect the network activity is getting lower than normal office times. Let's suppose I want to start an ADE-XL simulation after 10:00PM and I finished all needed configurations at 4PM or 5PM. How could this be done if I do not want to stay in the office or get explicitly online again?

Let's assume we run IC616* & mmsim_13*

    Hi montielm

This is possible if you are using LSF to distribute the runs. Please use "-b" option in your bsub cmd in ADEXL job setup form.

In addition to what Quek suggests, there's an enhancement CCR (number 830723) asking for support for LBS-based job policies to support a start time. The job submission (in "queue" mode) in ADE L supports this, so this CCR is to support it in the ADE XL job policy too. If you're using "command" mode though, you'd have to use any native support in the DRM tool as Quek suggested.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

One other consideration if using a native DRM option to delay submission of the ICRP process is the need to increase the Start Timeout in the Job Policy form.

ADE XL uses the start timeout to wait for an ICRP process to report back to the main ADE XL session that it has started.  The timer begins as soon as ADE XL submits the job.  ADE XL does not parse the command string so it would not know that the DRMS is delaying the start of the ICRP process.  Once the start timeout is reached ADE XL will try to kill the ICRP process and restart it.  This could lead to additional jobs being sent to the queuing system unless a sufficiently large value is set for start timeout.

     Regards,

    TOM
