How to protect your work under Cadence?

 Hello guys,

Do you know how to  encrypt the work(VerilogA, schematic, layout etc.) under Cadence in order to protect the work and avoid to be viewed or changed by others ?

Best regards,

UU

    UU,

There is no support for encryption of OpenAccess database views (schematic, layout etc). It would be a challenge as it then wouldn't be particularly good for interoperability between tools (although I guess you could envisage some  public key encryption system where you encrypted for a specific person or organization's public key).

VerilogA code can be encrypted using ncprotect, and spectre netlists can be encrypted using spectre_encrypt. Search for these in the documentation. You can encrypt the entire files, or just selected parts - this allows hiding of the contents, although it doesn't stop others from using them.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
