error while plotting current with spectre

hi,
I can not display current when simulating with spectre. I have an error like:

- Error Expression  IS("/M1/directoryAddress/ ) did not evaluate to a waveform.


but when i simulate the same circuit with SpectreS i display the current without problem.

How can  solve this problem in spectre

  • IS is for ploting dc sweep. Are you running a dc sweep? If not, use IT or IF or
    whatever analysis you are running.

    If you are running a dc sweep, open the Results Browser and see how spectre saved
    the data. Try to create your calculator expression from there.

    when I use the result browser I succeed in plotting the DC current. The displayed name with result browser is "I4.M5:s" and with a direct plot it's "I4/M5/S" to refer to the source of the MOS M5 of the instance I4.

    how Is it possible to change the format "I4/M5/S" in order to be able to plot dc-sweep current simulation directly??

    Are you using analogLib parts or your own library? If your own library, is the spectre simInfo set up correctly?

  • in both case, there is plotting problem only for current.I think spectre is well set up. By simInfo correectly set Up do you mean "importing spectre from spectreS"?

  • Yes, that's what I mean. Make sure the simInfo is similar to the simInfo on the nmos4 in analogLib
