error while plotting current with spectre

archive
archive over 17 years ago

hi,
I can not display current when simulating with spectre. I have an error like:

- Error Expression  IS("/M1/directoryAddress/ ) did not evaluate to a waveform.

but when i simulate the same circuit with SpectreS i display the current without problem.

How can  solve this problem in spectre

IS is for ploting dc sweep. Are you running a dc sweep? If not, use IT or IF or
    whatever analysis you are running.

If you are running a dc sweep, open the Results Browser and see how spectre saved
the data. Try to create your calculator expression from there.

    hi Eric
when I use the result browser I succeed in plotting the DC current. The displayed name with result browser is "I4.M5:s" and with a direct plot it's "I4/M5/S" to refer to the source of the MOS M5 of the instance I4.

how Is it possible to change the format "I4/M5/S" in order to be able to plot dc-sweep current simulation directly??

    Thanks..

I have no trouble plotting current with direct plot.

Are you using analogLib parts or your own library? If your own library, is the spectre simInfo set up correctly?

in both case, there is plotting problem only for current.I think spectre is well set up. By simInfo correectly set Up do you mean "importing spectre from spectreS"?

Yes, that's what I mean. Make sure the simInfo is similar to the simInfo on the nmos4 in analogLib
