Transient analysis error: "too few group members"

Hello,

I'm trying to run a transient analysis in ADE in Cadence to verify functionality of a digital circuit imported from a Synopsis flow, but I'm encountering the following errors:

"Error happens when writting waveform for write error on PSF file"

"Error happens when writing waveform for too few group members"

Essentially, I'm using vpulsse and vpwl and vdc as my inputs. I've set the simulation to run for 2.25ms, with a clock period of 50us, and the simulation seems to fail at 260us.

Does anyone know what is going on? Any help will be much appreciated.

Which simulator are you using and which version of that simulator? Similarly which version of ADE are you using (what does Help->About show in the CIW)?

I suspect it's a simulator issue, but knowing the versions of everything could help too (I've not found a report of this so far, but additional info could help). Showing the precise transcript of the output log of the simulator (with surrounding lines) could help too (I'm assuming it doesn't actually say "writting" with two "t"s in it?).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thanks for the reply, Andrew. Now I suspect that it is an issue with insufficient disk space, because the Simulation directory that stores the results was consuming the entire allotted space I had. After switching to a larger space, the simulation runs correctly.

    Jiachen,

    Yes, that could explain it.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
