ADE Cadence IC 6.1.5 Reliability Simulation

Dear All,

I would like to know how the Reliability Simulation is working in cadence IC 6.1.5 , i enabled HCI, NBTI, and PBTI on an inverter and didn't see any difference between enabling or disabling them?

Thanks,

Osama

    Osama,

Do you actually have reliability models? You can't just use this with standard spectre models - you need special models with additional aging information in them. Without that, you'll see no impact of aging or stress.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew
I am using is Virtuoso ADE Assembler, but the reliability simulation is failing. I am ruining this following the reliability_lab from Cadence. However the simulation is failing. So far I have increased the Linger Time. Because according to ADE Assembler User Guide, the life of an idle ICRP process is controlled by the Linger Time field whose default value is 300 second. I also set the aging time to only 1 day. But the reliability analysis still fails.
According to the failure message the IC Remote Processes (ICRPs) is not found in the remote machine.
From the ADE Assembler Guide: "When you run a simulation in ADE Explorer, it starts an IC Remote Processes (ICRPs) where it runs simulations. Each ICRP is also called a job and can be configured to run one or more simulation points."
The question. How can I make the ADE to find the ICRPs?

    Best regards

Posting on a 5 year old thread which isn't that related to the issue you're facing right now isn't terribly helpful (please read the Guidelines for the Custom IC Design Forum which ask you not to do this). I suspect your issue has nothing to do with reliability analysis as such, but some set up issue with ADE as a whole. I'd suggest  you contact customer support (since you can already access the support site).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
