Including HDL Libraries in Virtuoso 6.1.4

How can I identify the proper standard library for HDL (VHDL, VHDL-AMS, Verilog, VerilogA) and include it in Virtuoso 6.1.4 so that I can create Cell Views of type VHDL, VHDL-AMS, Verilog or VerilogA.

You don't need to include any libraries to be able to create VHDL, VHDL-AMS, Verilog or VerilogA cellViews. However, you might find adding these lines to your cds.lib useful:

    ahdlLib         $(inst_root_with:tools/dfII/bin/virtuoso)/tools/dfII/samples/artist/ahdlLib
    bmslib          $(inst_root_with:tools/dfII/bin/virtuoso)/tools/dfII/samples/artist/bmslib
    SOFTINCLUDE $(inst_root_with:tools/bin/irun)/tools/inca/files/IEEE_vhdlams/cds.lib

You should have a recent Incisive stream installed (e.g. INCISIV132 - but an earlier version would be fine), and in your UNIX path alongside the IC stream for virtuoso. You also need MMSIM in your path if you want access to spectre as well as AMS.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
