Hi All,

Is It possible to port an existing layout from Foundry1 to Foundry2. Consider the existin layout has only metal & Via layers.

Thank You,

Kumar

    Hi Kumar

Yes, it is possible. The easiest approach is as follows:
    - Export gds file using the pdk from foundry1
    - Modify the gds mapping file from foundry2 to ensure that it uses the same metal and via gds mapping as foundry1
    - Import the gds file using pdk from foundry2

Alternatively, you can modify the OA layer numbers in pdk from foundry2 to match the OA layer numbers from foundry1 and then open up the layout directly using the modified pdk. This should work too.

    Best regards
