Virtuoso Long Windows Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with long windows in Cadence Virtuoso. For example when i popup Automatic routing window I cant see entire window I see only part of window. There is no scrollbar or something like that so i dont have any access to option located on the bottom of window. Please how can I solve this problem?

    This suggests you're using a rather low resolution screen, because that form is not that big... (it has a minimum size, and is stretchable in the X direction).

    What do you get if you type: hiGetMaxScreenCoords() in the CIW?

    And also what do you get if you type:

    xdpyinfo | grep dimensions

    in a UNIX terminal window?

  • After applying the skill command in CIW i get "(1362 713)" output and after invokeing the second shell command i get "dimensions: 1366x768 pixels (361x203 millimeters)" output. Best Martin

  • 768 is a pretty low number of vertical pixels, especially if you're doing layout. Can you get a higher resolution screen?

    We are introducing some UI technology which will allow stretchable forms which switch to scroll bars if too small but that will be in IC617 (hopefully) and will also require each affected form to be updated. Potentially this could be a candidate but I would really say that your screen is too low resolution.
