PVS LVS

Hi all,

I did a digital design and when I want to do an LVS it says that the FEED cells (for example: FEED1LJI3V) are in the schematic but not in layout. If I want to filter them with blackbox I got an error regarding my supply and ground voltages (I did not use the vdd3i!, gnd3i!). With Assura I could filter these cells from schemtic but I did not found a proper solution for that that works in PVS.

It would be very nice if anyone can give me a solution for this.

Hi Stefan

Would you please let us know if you had used the following 2 PVS cmds to filter the blackboxes?

lvs_blackbox FEED1LJI3V
lvs_filter_device FEED1LJI3V -open

Would you also please let us know the full PVS error message?

Hi Quek,
for this command (lvs_filter_device FEED1LJI3V -open) I get the following errorin a popup window:
Rules -> Rules Files(s): Include PVL Rules contains unsupported commands.
If I use only the blackbox I got these errors in the picture. I think your plan is to filter them with the first command.

If you are using an SVRF rules file, would you please try the following cmds and let us know if it helps?

lvs box FEED1LJI3V
lvs filter FEED1LJI3V open

Hi Quek,
I dont use a SVRF rules file. I start the runs from GUI. Can you tell me how to implement such an SVRF file?

Hi Stefan

PVS can read in both SVRF rules file (Calibre deck) or its native PVL rules file. SVRF file simply refers to Calibre deck. Would you please try the following?

a. Create an empty file named "addon.rul" and add the following lines in the file:

lvs_blackbox FEED1LJI3V
lvs_filter_device FEED1LJI3V -open

b. Add the file "addon.rul" as one of the rules file in "Rules" tab.
