Importing gds to ic5.1 with different view name

Hi,

Is there a way to import gds from Encounter as a different view name into ic5.1?

The default view is layout, but, I would like to import it as layout_ver0 without overwritting the original layout view.

PS: I know that ic6 can do that, but for this project I need to use ic5.1

From the IC5141 documentation (Design Data Translators Reference manual):

Top Cell Name

The Top Cell Name field takes the name of the cell at the top of the hierarchy that you want to translate, and the name of the view for the cells you translate. If you want to translate all cells in the Stream file to a layout view, leave the field empty. If you want the cells translated to a view other than layout, type the cell name and the view name in the field.

Default: layout

For example, if the cell hierarchy is as follows:

then the some examples of how you can translate cells of how the cells will be translated are as shown below:

Cells to translate	Design Framework II view to translate into	What to type in the Top Cell Name field
B F	layout	`B`
C D F E	layout3	C layout3
All cells	layout
All cells	layout3	* layout3
