Use device parameters in SPECTRE simulation

Hi,

I am trying to reuse device parameters for a circuit simulation. For instance, in a mosfet model, the gds value can be extracted by using the parameter LX8. Whenever I try assigning the value of LX8 to a parameter, for instance by using .param gds=LX8(m1), I get the following error:

spectre does not support device/model parameters in the parameters declaration statements.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reuse the LX parameters in a circuit simulation"

Thanks,

Marco
