Finding worst case IR drop on supply routing while simulating av_r_extracted netlist.

Hi,

In an extracted netlist we get nets named like  \1\:avdd    \1099\:avdd

so while doing a dc/tran sim how can we write a calculator expression to find the worst case Ir drop in the power grid.

Writing something like this   min( \1\:avdd , \\. ...,,,   \1099\avdd )    is a bit painful , even then there is no way to figure out the last net segment (largest number in the avdd segments)  and also there isnt any guarantee that all numbers exist in the list.

Is there any simpler way to find out the min/max  voltages among all those segments(which could be few million in the netlist)

Probably I can reuse this solution to tran sim results on avr netlist.

Thanks,

Vamshi

    Hi Vamshi

You can either use Virtuoso Power System or Ultrasim EMIR solution to resolve the problem.

    Best regards
    Quek
