CMOS Imager Simulation in Cadence

Hello,

I want to design a CMOS Imager in Cadence Virtuoso v 6.1.

Is there any toolbox which can be used for simulation of the CMOS image sensor in Cadence.  How can we proceed to design the entire imager in cadence? What all simulators/toolboxes for light (Input for Pixel Array) can be used for testing the image sensor module? Which libraries and toolboxes would have to be procured/installed for the same? Is there any library available for Pixel array?

Thank You.

There's nothing specific for simulating CMOS image sensors in Virtuoso, as far as I know. You might need to consult the foundry to find out what type of models they use - but apart from that I can't think of anything specific or special or any libraries to assist such designs. You could write verilogA models which have light inputs, but not sure that's really helping you.

Maybe somebody else with specific experience of doing such designs can answer?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
