Problem with Layout "Update Components and Nets" in Virtuoso

Hi All,

When I try to update the components from my schematic to my layout, through the Connectivity tab in Layout XL, my transmission lines get split to six smaller t-lines. I have a similar problem with my inductor, which is generated multiple times, instead of one, in the layout. Does anyone know why this is happening and how we can solve it?

FYI, the process I am using is IBM8HP and I use "singlewire" as the transmission line.

This is probably due to you either have a parameter "s" or a parameter "m" on the device (I'm guessing it might be "s", because that's the one that normally confuses people).

Go to Options->Layout XL, the Parameters tab. In the Schematic Parameter Names section, you can pick "Series-connected factor" or "Parallel-connected factor" and change the parameter names used if they are clashing with parameter names used by your devices.

To check the parameter names used by your affected device, you can look in the CDF, or if using IC616, the edit properties form in the Layout Editor has a "Display CDF Parameter Name" checkbox in the Parameter tab (assuming that it's a displayed parameter, so you might need to check the CDF anyway using Tools->CDF->Edit in the CIW).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
