    Hi,

Cadence has a University Software Program that can be used by qualified academic institutions to give access to software for their students.  More information is available at http://www.cadence.com/support/university/Pages/default.aspx.

    Regards,

    TOM

I'm not familiar with the terms and conditions of the University Software Program, but it is unlikely that you would have the license server running on your personal computer, so even if you had the software installed there, you would need to be connected to the university's network in order to access the licenses needed to run the software.

    Hello Tom,

Is there any chance for a German university to join the program? I'm in charge of out new Design project at Universität Leipzig and need to create an international based program using at least two apps or tools (one of which should be a US based system). I have contacted some of the university representatives (who already joined Cadence University Software Program) with an official request, but haven't received a reply yet.

Tom isn't with Cadence any more, but the general way for European Universities is via the Europractice scheme here: http://www.europractice.stfc.ac.uk/membership/membership.html

I'll forward this to my colleague who looks after the European Universities program, so hopefully he can get in touch...

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Hello Stanley, I'm University Program Manager for EMEA at Cadence. Please contact me on my email address aklotz at cadence.com. Then we can discuss, if Europractice is the right choice, or direct contract with Cadence would be preferable in this case.

    Best Regards,

    Anton
