Flicker Noise in Pnoise Analysis

Deepansh

Hello,

I am a beginner, working on the design of a low-noise amplifier using Cadence Spectre. I wanted to know if the Pnoise analysis in the Analog Design Environment considers the flicker noise of [all] the transistors?.If not, kindly let me know any changes I would have to make to include flicker noise contributions, since this is essential for  my design.

Thank You

Yes, provided that your device models model flicker noise (which most transistor models would these days). Depending on the type of transistor model there are different parameters to control this (so for bsim4, see "spectre -h bsim4" for more details on the parameters). Apart from that, there's nothing special you need to do to enable this.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello Sir!

I request you to provide information as to how to calculate or if possible plot Flicker noise (1/f) in Cadence Virtuoso ADE.

I am designing an instrumentation amplifier.

See my answer above in the thread. It's unclear to me what you're really asking - spectre will simulate flicker noise in a noise/pnoise/hbnoise analysis (etc) provided that the device models have flicker noise parameters defined - then all the flicker noise contributions will add up to the total output noise.
