IC5141 Layout Mag

Hi All,

I am using IC5141 Layout.

When I want to size a instance I modify the mag parameter. But I need to change the size to very small, say 0.0001 of original one and then put the layout into symbol. So it does't matter if it is on grid or not.

But the shape got seems redraw and zigzag shape, very not looking. Is there any possible setting to keep shape smooth even in a very small scale?

Thanks,

Niko

    Niko,

No. You're running out of database resolution when you do this. Essentially everything is in terms of database units, which commonly are 1nm for a layout (it's not necessarily that, but that's a quite common setting).

Also, be wary of getting used to using "mag" for this, since OpenAccess does not directly support the mag attribute (so it's not there in IC61X onwards). It has to be emulated using pcells instead.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
