How to turn OFF DRC Check during layouting

Hi,

I am using Layout XL of IC 6.1.5. I want to turn off the DRC check during my layouting as it gets annoying. By DRC Check, I mean that it automatically checks the minimum spacing and limit the movement of components and nets.

Sounds as if you have "DRD" turned on. On the Options toolbar there are two icons (the fourth and fifth from the left, both with green arrows between a horizontal and a vertical edge, with the left icon having an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle, and the right icon having a white hand in a red circl. These control respectively DRD "Notify" mode and DRD "Enforce" mode. You can use these icons to turn DRD on or off (Notify just adds markers to tell you there is an error, whereas Enforce tries to prevent you breaking the rule in the first place).

These can also be controlled via Options->DRD Edit

    Regards,

    Andrew.
