LVS + no connect pin

archive
archive over 17 years ago

Hello all,

I have some issues when running LVS on my design.

In my layout I have some tracks that will eventually be connected to someone else's circuit. I have created pins for these tracks and given each one an appropriate name.

In my schematic I have then connected these pins to the "no connect" pin (available from the design kit library).

LVS runs succesfully however in my output file I'm informed that there are floating pins in both my schematic and in layout. These floating pins correspond to those that are not connected (no connect pins in schematic). They SHOULD NOT be floating.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?

James
