QRC and newer Assura

analogy
analogy over 10 years ago

Background : We were using Assura41 and gpdk045 version 2.0.Afterwe updated to gpdk045 version 4.0 and Assura616, we had issues in parasitic extraction (as we were used to RCX extraction with Assura41 and gpdk045 version 2.0)

Since we have switched to Assura616 and gpdk045 version 4.0, we expected that in Layout-XL/GXL we might see QRC option. But we don't !

Incase if you are wondering of our license status, here is a quick look based on lmstat check :

Users of QRCX_Display_Technology_Option:  (Total of 100 licenses issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)
Users of QRC_Advanced_Analysis:  (Total of 100 licenses issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Users of QRC_Advanced_Modeling_20:  (Total of 100 licenses issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

As far as Assura setup is concerned, Assura616 was unpacked and changes were made in cds.lib for avTech definition and Assura defitinion in .csh file.Is there anything more needed for setup of Assura ?

You need to have the software stream with QRC products in installed (e.g. EXT141 or EXT142), and then you need:

    setenv QRC_HOME /path/to/EXT141
    set path = ($QRC_HOME/bin $path)

or similar for whatever shell you're using. If I remember rightly, you do need $QRC_HOME to be set for the QRC menus to appear.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
