How to get a faster transient analysis?

Pyroblast

Hi guys, I am simulating, with the extracted view from all blocks, a large circuit in cadence using spectre. Each 600ns transient analysis takes very long time to complete, something around 30min.

Well, if I have to make a few iterations to get what I want, I will be all day around the circuit which is not very pleasant. That said, allow me to ask if someone knows how to improve/decrease the simulation time of such transient analysis on those conditions? (with extracted view)

Regards.

Dear pyroblast,I think you need to recalibrate your thinking about "long"! I have extracted view bars netlist simulations that run for well over one week. Techniques to reduce simulation the include the use of APS, using multiple processors, minimizing the number of saved outputs, and when feasible, parasitic reduction.
