Store simulator settings in ADE L

Hi,


I use "ADE L" with AMS. Whenever I launch, I need to manually setup everything:

  1. Open the schematic from Library Manager
  2. Click Launch -> ADE L
  3. Change Setup -> Design -> View Name: config (from schematic)
  4. Change Setup -> Simulator/Directory/Host Simulator: ams (from spectre)
  5. Session -> Load State, select "Cell View", OK

Is there a way to expedite this?

In particular I wonder why steps 3 and 4 are not stored? (I always have to switch from spectre to ams manually).

  • This is because States can be reused with different designs and (to some extent) with different simulators. If you start ADE from the configured schematic or from the hierarchy editor it will set the design automatically. However if you open up the saved state from the library manager (or file open in the CIW) it will get the design and simulator set - so that's the best solution for you. Andrew
