Virtuoso AnalogEnvironment : netlisting without ocean

Hello,

using Virtuoso Analog Environment Interface, is it possible to netlist a schematic (+stimuli) and measurements,  in the netlist file instead of in an ocean script ? Then I will have the right measurement equations ready for the : "spectre input.scs" commandline execution.

Thanks a lot !!

You could do this with spectreMDL (Measurement Description Language) - see the documentation on MDL. MDL is a bit like .MEASURE except it has a much more regular syntax and is pretty flexible.

The other alternative is to use export statement in the netlist (see "spectre -h export" - you need to be using a recent version for this to show useful help).

Note that MDL expressions aren't produced by ADE (although it is possible to run in ADE using an MDL control file), and ADE won't put the export statements into the netlist for you - you have to do that yourself.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
