ADE-XL simulation and save result

Hi all,

I'm trying to run an ADE-XL simulation, the simulation time is quite long (because it's a complex circuit).

And I hope to save the results while the simulation is done, then I can move on to other process.

Is there a way to do this ?

By the way, I have tried using ipcBeginProcess(), but there is no ipc number for me to use ipcWaitForProcess().

Thanks.

Jason

    Hi Jason,

Simulation results from quite a few analyses are written out throughout the simulation so you can look at them early (e.g. from transient, from ac and noise, but not from the RF analyses in general). I'm not sure if that's what you're asking for here. I also can't see what ipcBeginProcess/ipcWaitForProcess has to do with anything here...

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andew,

    Thank for your prompt reply.

For some reasons, I'm using "replay" function to run ADE-XL simulation and save results for "EAD".

What I'm trying to do was to run ADE-XL simulation first, then automatically save results (if I have assigned a name for "EAD" "dataSets" before simulation) while the simulation is finished.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Jason.

    Jason,

You should contact customer support. There is an existing CCR asking for auto-creation of data sets after simulation (CCR 1190987), and conceivably this could be done with a postRun trigger in ADE XL - however, I don't believe there is a public API to create the datasets either (so that would need an enhancement).

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
