Automatic update of cdf parameters

Hi to all,

Cadence ask me to update cdf information when i start LVS or DRS, although i have not changed cdf parameters of instances from my schematic. Why? I design only layout for completed schematic now.

Moreover, Cadence wants to update cdf information for cells from PRIM library. Why? I have not changed its cells.

May be i can disable automatic update of the cdf information? If i assign «updateInstResetCDF» to «nil» in my .env file, it will solve my problem, or not? Or it may cause problems with cdf parameters during schematic design?

I use IC5.

Best Regards,
mad monster

    Dear Mr. Monster,

I'm sure Cadence doesn't ask you to do anything, but I suspect you're referring to the prompt you get when you do a File->Refresh in the CIW. However, rather than me guessing, please post a picture of what you get asked? This doesn't sound like standard behaviour when running a Cadence physical verification tool (Assura, PVS or even Diva or Dracula), so it would be useful to know which DRC and LVS tool you're using.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hello, Mr. Andrew,

    I am using Assura.

Indeed, when I start verification, I receive prompt similar to message, that appears when I do Refresh in CIW. But I do not Refresh in fact.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Yuriy.
