Error while importing .gds in cadence IC 6.16 from CIW using strmin

Hi,

I am getting a syntax error while stream in gds2 file using strmin command from CIW.I am using strmin with these much options...

strmin -library '<library_name>' -strmFile <entire path of gds file> -loadTechFile '<entire techfile path>' -logFile strmIn.log -layerMap '<entire layermap file path>'

And I am getting this error

SYNTAX ERROR found at line 13 column 42 of file *ciwInPort*
*Error* lineread/read: syntax error encountered in input

That's because that is a UNIX command not a SKILL command. You need to run the command from a terminal window, not the CIW.
