Noise file - vsource

analogy
analogy over 10 years ago

While trying to add noisefile in vsource from analogLib, I encountered the following error :

Error found by spectre during circuit read-in.
ERROR (SFE-874): "input.scs" 14: Unexpected hierarchical name "noise.txt". Expected end of file or end of line.

I am even attaching a noise file (click here) I generated. It's a tab delimited file.I suspect the error lies with format of file.Is it ?

Thanks.

Edit: hierachical name ? Checked for EOL in file format , there is no end of line error (based on my understanding).

    Hi Analogy,

    Just a quick note

Please check out this article on Cadence Online Support:

    http://support.cadence.com/wps/mypoc/cos?uri=deeplinkmin:ViewSolution;solutionNumber=20256770

Also, check the  Spectre RF User Guide .   It has information on noisefiles for the port.  Much of the port parameters also apply to the vsource.

    best regards,

    Tawna
