Instance name prefix

OK, I'm getting old and have forgotten. I know it has been answered but can't think of the keywords to search.

How do I set the instance name prefix for a symbol? For example, I want all my resistor instance names to start with "R". What is the property name and is it set on the master or on the cell definition?

Also, is there such a prefix for naming unnamed nets?

Thanks

Ted

    Ted,

Search in cdnshelp for instNamePrefix. Add this property to the symbol as a cellView property.

For net names, this is controlled by a .cdsenv setting:

    schematic netNamePrefix string "net"

This also appears on the Schematic Editor Options form.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
