noise contribution in a calculator expression

Hi,

I am running pnoise and seeing noise contributions from each block with the help of print noise summary .

Is it possible to add the block level noise contributions in a calculator expression so that I view it across all PVT corners easily in ADEXL.

Its a bit painful to print noise summary for every corner and observe the same.

I was able to get device noises contribution into calculator expressions from result browser, but couldnt do block level .

Thanks for the quick reply and solution Andrew, that was quite helpful. However I was not able to use it ADEXL properly as it expects that noiseSummary is not available while ADEXL tries to evaluate all other variables/expressions.

I have tried creating all noisesummaries by opening print noise forms across all corners and reevaluated ADEXL expressions. but they seem to fail in evaluation.

I pointed out in the other thread that this doesn't happen automatically at the end of simulation, so it's not really a viable approach for ADE XL. It would need an enhancement, and for that you should contact customer support. Frank filed a CCR for this capability - mentioned in the other thread.

ok thank you.

Also is there any env variable to set the defaults in that print noise summary window for having to set hierrachy=1, integ noise, bandwitdh limits etc?

Everytime when I run a new sim that window loses the history(recent settings used) and goes to some defaults.

Vamshi,

I filed an enhancement request for this some time ago, CCR 753123. It hasn't been implemented yet, so if you want this, you should contact customer support and request that a duplicate be filed to increase the likelihood that it is implemented sooner.
