MAXACFREQUENCY

analogy
analogy over 9 years ago

I'm using PSS + PNoise for jitter measurement.

I have plotted Edge-to-Edge Jitter (Jee) using PSS + PNoise (shooting engine) analysis as I vary MAXACFREQUENCY from 1GHz TO 5THz at 100GHz steps. Why do I see jitter measurement varying as I change MAXACFREQUENCY ?

For reference, I have PSSharmonics set as 7 while PNoise frequency is swept from 1Hz to 500MHz (full spectrum mode).

So I swept MAXACFREQUENCY but this time I plotted integrated noise (using PNoise's tdnoise integrated from 1Hz to PSSfundamental/2 i.e. 500 MHz).

Although sweeping from 1GHz to 10THz , integrated noise varies from 8.77mV to 9.07mV, within first 250GHz integrated noise varies from 8.77mV to 8.98mV (error approximately 210uV).

For additional reference, integrated noise varied from 8.77mV to 9.04mV (for next 750GHz, the error is as little as 60uV)

What might be the reason for this error ? Any suggestions to keep it under control ?

P.S. PSSharmonics = 7 for fundamental frequency of 1GHz.As said before, PNoise frequency was swept from 1Hz to 500MHz in full spectrum mode.
