combine libraries into categories

Hello,

I used to combine libraries under a category in cadence library manager using the command assign:

ASSIGN "category name" COMBINE lib1 lib2 lib3

I updated the cadence version to ICADV12.1-64b.500.8, this command doesn't work any longer, should I use a different command for this version ?

Thanks,

Hussein

    Hussein,

I'm rather surprised if this was broken in a specific hotfix version, but I checked in the latest hotfix, ICADV12.1.500.15.2, and it works there.

One point however - the second word on the ASSIGN library is not a "category name" - it has to be a library name that was defined using a DEFINE statement. Otherwise it won't do anything - this is the case in all versions.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
