Display Issue in IC6.1.6 (64 bit) on CentOS

Hi,

I am facing a strange display issue on IC6.1.6 (64 bit). There are two ways the problem manifests :

1. Virtuoso Schematic Editor - When viewing a schematic, lines along the boundaries of a few cells are not displayed at most zoom levels. They get displayed at arbitrary zoom levels which are consistent each time for a given cell but are not same for all cells. This is a real problem if the symbol is just a rectangle because then the whole cell ends up not being shown.

2. Simulation log viewer on ADE-L - When a simulation is run using ADE, the simulation log comes up normally, displays the "initial" log correctly. But, after that, every time the log file is refreshed (with Auto Update On), the log window goes blank with no text displayed inside (menu bar still seen). The text comes back the moment the user clicks *inside* the log window, goes blank again on the next update, so on. Text does not come back after the simulation is finished nor does it come back if the user just clicks on the title bar of the log window.

The issue seems to be with Cadence IC suite alone - none of the other applications show any signs of problems. Strangest part is that the issue seems to be related to the client machine the output is viewed from rather than the server where IC6 is installed and runs on. Client machines running CentOS 5 do not show the issue, both machines running either CentOS6 or CentOS7 both show the issue.

The IC suite is installed on a central server running CentOS release 5.11 (64 bit) and accessed through an ssh (ssh -X) session from a client machine running CentOS release 6.7 (64 bit). IC6 version is IC6.1.6-64b.500.11

I understand CentOS is not a supported platform. But, any pointers to possible causes will be really helpful! Thanks a ton in advance!

Update : The display issue crops up only when using ssh, not when accessed using vnc. Same client, same server, same Cadence installation. Any ideas on what the issue could be? Thanks in advance for the help!
