HI,

Anyone know why glibc  is being flagged as old?

I just did a yum update and this is the error message i get:

cadence]$ ./IC617/tools.lnx86/bin/checkSysConf IC6.1.7 | more

Validating PACKAGE requirements.....14 to check
# PACKAGE Release Build Installed Status Info
-- ------- ------- ----- --------- ------ --------------------
1 glibc 2.12 1.132 2.12-1.166.el6_7.3.i686FAIL Old build version
-> installed.
-> 'GlibC'
2 elfutils-libelf 0.152 1 0.161-3.el6.i686PASS
-> 'Libelf Library'

RHEL 7 is not a requirement right  (I am on 6.7) !

Thanks,

Nima

    Create a service request with Cadence for them to follow up on this - most likely the way that checkSysConf is coded, the release of glibc is reported as 'old' because the subversion is not being parsed correctly. According to the "Supported Platform Matrix for Cadence Applications" page RHEL7 is okay to use for IC617 (though the page needs updating, it shows IC617 as Future, and ICADV12.2 also)
