on subharmonic injection VCO phase noise analysis setup

Hi, ALL,

I am designing a 1GHz ring oscillator injected by 100 MHz injection pulse.

The ring oscillator's free running frequency is 1 GHz.

I use Vpulse to generate 100 MHz injection signal.

How should I setup in PSS and Pnoise to measure the phase noise of ring oscillator?

It would be much appreciated if anyone can help with this problem.

If this is injection locked (i.e. it means that the ring oscillator ends up with a fixed frequency, presumably a harmonic of the 100MHz injection signal), then you would simulate this as a driven circuit (i.e. don't check the "oscillator" checkbox) and specify the PSS fundamental as 100MHz.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
