Waiting for available license for Virtuoso(R) Spectre

Hello,

I tried to run a simulation. Netlisting was okay. But then, simulation did not proceed and always showing below statement before it get terminated.

" Waiting for available license for Virtuoso(R) Spectre"

During the simulation, it was not checked out "Virtuoso_Multi_mode_Simulation" license. It this because of version mismatch between license and installed MMSIM?

FYI, with lmstat -a -c, I am seeing:

"Virtuoso_Multi_mode_Simulation" v13.1, vendor: cdslmd floating license

And installed MMSIM is version MMSIM141.

Please advise.

Thanks

Syafiq

Yes, this is due to the version mismatch between the license and the version of Spectre that you are using.  You need to refresh your license file to have 14.1 or later MMSIM licenses or use an MMSIM 13.1 or older version of spectre (although this is pretty old, so you refreshing the licenses is the better solution).

    Hello,

Thanks Tom for your reply. FYI, I have another cadence installed in another server and it use mmsim7.11.188. They are sharing same virtuoso multi mode license. If I update the license, it should not impact the other cadence that uses mmsim7.11.188, right?

    SERVER A: Cadence with mmsim7.11.188

    SERVER B: Cadence with MMSIM141

    Thanks

    Syafiq
