Loading corner sim results for sims run using Ocean script for Cadence IC 6.1.6

Hi All,

I am running the corner simulations using an ocean script and create a result dir , eg. result_cor, in the path "./simulation/cellName/spectre/schematic/result_cor"

How can i load the results in the ADE to view all the corner results for say a particular voltage/current/measurement using the waveform viewer ViVA.

I tried loading the results as can be done in IC5.1. ADE window -> Results -> Select -> <Select the folder 2 hierarchy above i.e choose spectre folder>, but this doesn't seem to be working for 6.1..

Not really enough information to go on. It looks as if you may have a different result structure than ADE is expecting. If you just want to use ViVA though, you don't need to load the results into ADE - you can just use the results browser in ViVA to navigate to the right directory and plot signals from there.

The result structure is different indeed. As in the IC5.1 the "Corners" folder, in the respective cell's simulation directory, has folders for each corner but there is just one "psf" folder at the same hierarchy as "Corners" folder containing the runObjfile. Whereas for corner sims run using the ocean script, i have individual "psf" folders inside each corner folder in the "Corners" folder in the respective cell's simulation directory. A different runObjfile for every corner then i think. The ocean script that i am using has been saved from the ADE and then the loops are added around the run() to have corner sims. Is there a way to get a combined runObjFile for all the corners (assuming the separate runObjFile is the reason for ViVA not being able to load all the corner results together)

If you had used an OCEAN XL script to produce all the data (which is in essence the corners capability from ADE XL) then it would have been possible to look at the results in ADE XL. There's no Corners capability in ADE L any more - that got moved to ADE XL (it was an option on top of ADE L before, and the equivalent license migrates to ADE XL).

There's no public function to create the runObjFile.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
