Large Scale Simulation

Hello everybody

I am simulating a large-scale digital circuit at the transistor level with spectre in ADE L (Cadence Virtuoso), however, the simulation takes a very long time (the reason why I try to simulate this digital circuit is to see the exact real dynamic power consumption and Monte Carlo analysis on that). I have also tried the Ultrasim but the same problem occurs. Can someone help me out? How do people simulate the real world digital circuit like a processor?

Kind regards,

Hamid.

    Hamid,

I moved this into a more suitable forum.

Often people don't try to simulate this kind of circuit in a SPICE engine - even fast SPICE engines.

You may want to look at something more modern like XPS MS, but I'd suggest contacting customer support or your account team so that we can have a conversation about what you're really trying to do and what the best approach is for the particular kind of design you have.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
