Could anyone provide me the model of fourier component in analogLib library in Cadence?

Thank you.

I'm not on the network currently so can't re-check with the version you're using, but I think this was a known issue that was solved in MMSIM14.1 ISR4. I was running the example from the command line and so had psfbin as the output format (the default), whereas you're getting the ADE default of psfxl. Unfortunately there was a problem (CCR 1264981) where if psfxl was used as the output format, then the transient results ended up blank - which is the problem in your case.

You can solve it either by using a late enough hotfix - anything greater or equal to MMSIM14.1 ISR4, or by going to Outputs->Save All in ADE and changing the Output Format to "psf" (rather than "psfxl").

Let me know if either work.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Yeah! Finally it works like a charm now! You are so skilled.

I changed the output format to psf and I can plot it now.

I have two other questions. Could you explain more?

    1. What is the benefit of psfxl compared to psf? If I use the psf as default, is there any problem?

    2. How to update MMSIM?

    Thank you!

    Hi Huan,

In general I'd recommend PSF XL over PSF. The reason PSF XL exists was to improve performance when dealing with large waveforms (e.g. millions of points) or when you have very large numbers of signals (e.g. 10,000 and above). For smaller numbers of points or signals PSF would be OK though. So I wouldn't suggest you change your default - this is a localised issue only affecting the fourier analyser, and a better solution would be to use a later MMSIM version - then you can use PSF XL safely.

To update MMSIM you'd need to download a newer version from

Presumably somebody in your organisation can do that?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

Thank you for the advice! I will ask for that. The problem is solved now.
