Cadence Library Information for the Attached Tech File?

When a new library is created in Cadence Virtuoso and a Technology Library is attached, where does the information that a specific Technology Library is attached with the new library is saved? I have looked into cds.lib file in work directory but it does not have that information.

The reason I need this, because I want to copy the new library along with all schematics and layouts to a different machine and don't want to reattach the Technology Library... means I just need to manually copy the directory (new library) and edit some file other than cds.lib for the new library and it should work as it was working on the original machine... and of course the new machine has the same PDK installed.

If the PDK installation is identical on the two machines, then copying the library directory as such will have the same Tech Lib attached?

The library to which you are attached is stored in the techLibName property on the library (in the library manager, do right mouse->properties). Since it is the name of the library that is used (not the path), provided the technology library is in the cds.lib on the second machine, you won't need to do anything special.

These library properties are stored in the data.dm file in each library.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
