Annotate ron in DC analysis

BaaB
BaaB over 9 years ago

I am running DC analysis and I would like to annotate some operating point parameters such as gm, self_gain, ron, rout,...

I am able to do it with gm, self_gain, rout by setting from schematic editor L:

View --> Annotations --> Setup

However, I couldn't make it for ron. The tick box for ron doesn't change to "ticked".

Is there a problem here?

    That's because the symbol in this library only has 8 cdsParam(N) labels - you've added a new one and anything beyond the 8th. If you do that, they can only be shown in info balloons. In my case it works OK:

    You can always use info balloons instead - go to the column headings (where it says Expression, Annotate etc) and do Right Mouse menu and pick Balloon Column. You can then enable as many operating point parameters to be displayed in a balloon when you hover over the instance.

    Or you can just use one of the cdsParam(1) through cdsParam(8) to enter ron, as I did. Note that not all PDKs use 8 labels - some use far fewer than this - but the one I think you're using has 8 labels (at least in the version I tried).

    Regards

    Andrew.
