Custom display of Virtuoso Layout

Hello,

I would like that my display  of Virtuoso layout is customized when I open it. More precisely I would know whether I can modify the number of Windows-Assistants available at the opening or not?

For example I use Navigator to browse trough the instances but I have to set it each opening of Virtuoso. I would like also customised "Edit valid layer" by default when I open Virtuoso.

Currently I have successful some customization as  "filter or dynamic display" in Display option with the .cdsenv file. But It seems that it's not the same way to set the display side.

Plz could you give me the way to get my own environement.

Thank you.

    1. Arrange the assistants the way you want.
    2. Windows->Workspaces->Save As (or use the Save icon in the Workspaces toolbar) to give  your setup a name
    3. Windows->Workspaces->Set Default to pick the one you want as your default

    Not sure what you mean by the customised "Edit valid layer" bit...

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Thank you for your answer, I added Navigator on my assistant when I open Virtuoso thanks to your piece of advice. But I always a problem with Edit_valid layer, indeed I have to select Edit_Valid Layers after each opening of Virtuoso to bring up the four columns ==> Visibility / Selectibility / Add-Remove / Validity. By default only two are visible ==> Visibility / Selectibility . Thank you

    I'm quite surprised you'd want the edit valid layers on by default - it's not something you normally need to change that often so most wouldn't waste the screen real estate with the extra columns. Anyway, it's easily done using this SKILL code:

    procedure(CCFenableValidity(args)
      pteEditLayerSetValidity()
    )

    deRegUserTriggers("maskLayout" nil nil 'CCFenableValidity)
    deRegUserTriggers("maskLayoutXL" nil nil 'CCFenableValidity)

    Regards,

    Andrew.
