Problem in Monte Carlo with XPS MS

Hi,

I want to run a monte-carlo simulation, where the test setup consists of a long transient run. While running ordinary ADE-L transient simulation, I enable Spectre XPS-MS which really speeded up (almost 4x) the simulation. But when I enable XPS-MS in Monte Carlo runs, I get the following error :

"ERROR (ADEXL-5052): Monte Carlo run stopped because no statistical data generated for the test : xxx

Nominal simulation might have failed. Either fix the problem in the test setup or disable the test and re-run"

I disabled the nominal run, and even then I get the same error :

"Monte carlo run stopped because no statistical data generated for the test : xxxxx

Either fix the problem in the test setup or disable the test and re-run".

Is it that, XPS-MS cannot be enabled while running a Monte-Carlo run, or is there some workaround for this? It would be really great if XPS-MS could be enabled since it would give a tremendous saving of simulation time. I use IC617 with MMSIM151. Kindly help me out.

Monte Carlo is not support in XPS-MS mode. If you look in the simulator log, you'll see:

WARNING (SPECTRE-18018): Analyses 'montecarlo' are not yet supported in
    'Spectre XPS Mixed-signal Mode'.

You should contact customer support and request this as an enhancement. There's an existing request, CCR 1404988, but it's not planned currently.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
