Run multiple ADE of the same schematic at the same time.

Hi,

I am wondering if there is any problem when I run multiple AED of the same circuit at the same time.

I know it is an odd thing to do but is it possible?

What would happen then?

I am using IC6.17 now.

Thank you very much for your help.

ADE XL and GXL are the same interface - it's just a license difference that gives access to additional run modes with GXL (e.g. sensitivity analysis, optimisation, yield improvement, high sigma yield etc).

ADE XL gives you access to a multi-test environment (so you can run multiple tests on your design, with the same or different test benches and bring the results together), the ability to put specifications on your measurements, the ability to run over corners, the ability to sweep global variables (so common variables to all your tests), the ability to parameterise your design and sweep that without needing to edit the schematic. It also gives you access to Monte Carlo.  It also allows control over how many simulations you run in parallel.

So it gives a lot of power - and actually the simulation setup itself is the same as with ADE L (the test editor in ADE XL is essentially ADE L).

This is just a small flavour of the kind of things you can do.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
