How to access dummy voltage in ocean script?

I have written an ocean script and included a dummy source voltage to calculate the current through the element. Though the dummy voltage is present in the netlist and the input.scs file, it doesn't appear in the outputs after simulation.

Is there any way to find out the current with the dummy voltage source?

Are you running the simulation with APS? APS filters zero-volt sources because historically we saw quite a few device models with zero-volt sources inside which just added to the size of the matrix needing to be solved. There are two solutions to this (if that's the problem):

    1. Use an iprobe component rather than a zero-volt source. This expresses the intent that it's there to measure current, and so doesn't get reduced. It's just something like V1 (n1 n2) iprobe in the netlist. This is iprobe in analogLib
    2. Use the preserve_inst=[V1] option to tell spectre to keep the instance (you can find this in the ADE High Performance form and then save the OCEAN script to see the equivalent setting).

If you're not using APS, I'd like to see the input.scs to know what's going on (and the MMSIM version you're using).

    Regards,

    Andrew
