Quantus QRC to Extracted View.

I currently have Quantus QRC running, and have sent the output to a SPICE netlist.  It appears to have extracted the netlist correctly, and it contains the Rs and Cs that I would expect.  Now I am trying to simulated the extracted netlist.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the best way to do this is to write it to an Extracted View, then create a Config View and point the simulator at the Extracted View within the Config View for the cells that I want to simulate as extracted netlists.  I told QRC to output an Extracted View instead of the SPICE netlist, and I got the following error.

Virtuoso Framework License (111) was checked out successfully. Total checkout time was 0.03s.
Argument -extview_rul is required.
INFO (LBRCXU-111): Warning /home/Cadence/installs/IC617/bin/qrcToDfII exit with bad status

INFO (LBRCXU-112): Warning Status 256

INFO (LBRCXU-113): Warning QRC execution terminated

*****  aveng fork terminated abnormally  *****

The command that is failing with the Argument -extview_rul is required is as follows.

/home/Cadence/installs/IC617/bin/qrcToDfII -extract both -run_name inv -cdlout_run_dir /home/STI_Designs/Adonis/DTRA_TSMCN16FFC/work_libs/johancsi/cds/pvs - check_cell_view TRUE -device_finger_delimiter @ -extracted_view av_extracted -lvs_source agds -cap_models no -capacitor pcapacitor -res_models no -resistor presistor -cap_prop_name c -res_prop_name r -t -extview_tmp /tmp/qrc_4382/inv/extview.tmp -run_dir /tmp/qrc_4382/inv -lib_name DTRA_TSMCN16_master -cell_name inv -view_name layout -server /home/Cadence/installs/EXT152/tools/extraction/bin/64bit//../shapeServer

There does not appear to be a -extview_rul option in this command.  The question is, why isn't Quantus QRC run from the GUI creating this command correctly, and where do I find any documentation about qrcToDfII to try to figure out what the argument even should be for -extview_rul.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

Is there an extview.rul file in your PVS rule directory? This is needed to specify the mapping of devices to PDK devices.

Probably worth contacting customer support so that we can look at this with you - it's hard to be certain without poking around in the files you have in your setup.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
