Virtuoso XL connectivity - Single loop inductor

Hello,

I like the Schematic <-> Layout connectivity based design approach, however I have a specific question.

For an RF design I have a single loop top metal inductor. When I draw this in my layout and add pins, I always get a short circuit (which seems normal as this is just a piece of metal).

When I check the TSMC pdk or the gpdk, I see that there are in fact inductors/metal resistors (also just connected pieces of metal) which are working in the connectivity based approach.

How can I make this work in the connectivity design flow with my custom inductor to have 2 different nets assigned to 1 physical metal piece?

Thanks!

Can you not just place a metal resistor (assuming your design kit has one) to separate the nets?
